EBRD says Russia’s economic growth to resume in 18 months
LONDON, May 10 (PRIME) -- Russia’s economic growth could resume in the coming 18 months, Suma Chakrabarti, president of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) told reporters late Monday.
At present, the Russian economy has a difficult time because of Western sanctions and a drop in oil prices, he said.
He also said the decline in the Russian economy had led to an economic slowdown in the countries of the Central Asia and Eastern Europe.
